FALL 2022 STEM LAB 101

Students will tinker, build, and create! Hands on designing to solve engineering problems. Design problems include towers, catapults, simple machines, flight, and watercrafts. Students will be working in teams for project-based learning.

We will be following a basic recipe for success as follows:

Include equal parts: Materials, creativity, brain power and FUN!!! Stand back and watch the results!

Expectations: At home reading assignments along with optional paper and pencil activities for home.

SPRING 2023 ZOOLOGY and BIOMES

Students will explore animal habitats and wildlife found within. Hands on learning and experiments in class to understand the interaction of the components of biomes as well as the innerworkings of animals that inhabit them.

Did you know that hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards? Fleas can jump 350 times their body lengths, and slugs have four noses ? Students will learn about animals and their sometimes wacky adaptations to their environments.
