A home school alum herself, Nichole DeLaura now holds a B.A. in Film Production and an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts where she received the Edward Small Writing Award. Her work has screened at the 2021 LA Shorts International Film Festival and won “Best Screenplay” at the 2019 iFilm Festival.
She has also spent the last five years working as an educator, including tutoring students from middle school to college. She strives to help her students creatively explore while promoting the philosophy that progress is more valuable than perfection. This year, she’s especially excited to be able to offer a hands on approach to learning filmmaking as she believes its one of the most powerful (and most fun) storytelling tools we have.
