Join The Pod of Curious Minds, where we embark on a delightful literary journey in a warm and
encouraging atmosphere. Our class is designed to cultivate love for literature, boost confidence,
foster friendships, and, most importantly, have a blast!

As part of our outdoor, picnic-style gatherings (weather permitting, otherwise in a classroom),
each participant will receive a chapter book, delving into one or two chapters per week. As we
meet each week, we’ll ask questions, explore key themes within the book and add a dash of
creativity while engaging in projects inspired by each story. And to cap off each literary
adventure, we’ll enjoy a movie based on the book.

No need to stress about reading skills or public speaking—this class is all about savoring the joy
of reading and strengthening our group bonds. But that’s not all! We’re committed to enriching
our exploration of literature with research-based literacy skills, such as close reading tasks,
text-based vocabulary practice, text-dependent questions, reader response writing prompts,
leveled comprehension questions, story elements comprehension tasks, diverse and relevant
assessments, and cross-curricular activities.

Rest assured, our selection of books and materials aligns with the Common Core State
Standards for reading and writing, ensuring a well-rounded and educational experience. So, let’s
