Get ready to embark on an exploratory journey! While in class, we will read and write about the
captivating stories of trailblazers, legends, innovators, significant landmarks, and historical
events. Throughout the semester, we will learn how to conduct research, extract relevant facts
and how to organize our newfound knowledge and information into well-written paragraphs and
presentations.
Every student will have the exciting opportunity to choose their favorite topic, delve into
research, and create a presentation board. The grand finale? Presenting your findings to the
class at the end of each semester! Imagine the thrill of uncovering the mysteries of Jane
Goodall, unraveling the adventures of Amelia Earhart, exploring the wonders of Galileo, and
pondering the significance of the Statue of Liberty. Curious about the Ice Age? Eager to
discover the secrets of the Great Barrier Reef, the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, or the
allure of Machu Picchu? You’re in for a treat!
Amidst all the fun, our learning adventure will be guided by materials aligned with Common
Core State Standards for reading and writing, ensuring a well-rounded and educational
experience. Get ready to be inspired and have a blast exploring the wonders of our world!
