Project Description
Annette has been teaching for over 25 years, her passion for teaching began at a young age and has only grown throughout her life leading her to her most rewarding teaching experience, homeschooling her three children, Catherine, Evan and Julianna. Her teaching career began while in high school where she tutored students in the community helping them achieve their academic goals. Her passion for teaching has taken her from public school to private school to Sunday school and finally to private tutoring in various settings. She attended Azusa Pacific University where she studied human development and became focused on teaching and advocating for at-risk students helping them bridge the gap academically. Throughout the years Annette has continued her own journey as a student taking online courses to stay up to date on technology trends, teaching methods, and special needs instruction. At Pathfinders she hopes to nurture and teach the skills necessary to aid in the success of each homeschooler’s unique journey. Annette is also passionate about gardening, painting, hiking, skiing and is an avid bookworm, but her greatest honor has been the role of a mother, wife, sister and friend.
